Over the pass two weeks ...... well life has been like a hurricane for the hubby and yours truly.... not that I'm complaning ...... we've had a wedding, a picnic, a bbq as well as our wedding anniversary.
First of all we were all excited about attending the wedding of our adopted God Daughter (she adopted us that is). The hubby and I left home early the morning of the wedding so that we could make it there in time for Mass but due to some road works and of course getting lost did nothing to help..... we just managed to make it to the Church half way thru the ceremony...... sad to say we missed the best part because I understand that the groom had promised to improve on his driving skills as part of his marraige vows...... now here's a brave man....
Anyway, upon entering the church, the first thing I noticed was the decorations of Red Roses everywhere. and as I looked around at the decorations that was done by the bride and her team, it felt as if I had stepped into a piece of paradise, surrounded by the great feeling of love that was there. The couple had family members and friends that had come from as far as Australia, England as well as the US.
Hearing the choir singing, and with the decorations all around tears began to swell up in my eyes as I started to feel all nostalgic. Thoughts started to flow about how it was at my wedding ..... I can still remember it as if it happen just yesterday, we had our church ceremony and then we had a garden reception right next to the beach and that was 23 years ago.
There had been times on how my daughter and I would share our thoughts about what would be nice to have at weddings and maybe we should become wedding planners. Well I'll have to wait and see I guest.
As for the picnic and the bbq I'll leave that for another day.....
